Interest rates in Colombia were left unchanged at 4.50% last night and with economic growth slowing and inflation unlikely to pose a problem for policymakers, further interest rate hikes now seem unlikely. In fact, to the extent that rates are changed in the next year or so, we suspect that any move is more likely to be down rather than up. By contrast, the consensus expects rates to rise to 5.00% by end-15.
