Brazil inflation set to drift higher

We expect inflation in Brazil to drift higher in the coming months, reaching just over 4% y/y by the end of this year. This won’t cause a major headache for policymakers but, despite the dovish tone of this month’s Copom minutes, we think it will be enough to ensure that the next move in interest rates is up.
