Argentina: Default another headwind to economic recovery

Following a failure to make an interest payment on restructured bonds yesterday, the Argentine government appears to be heading towards another default unless it can reach agreement with holdouts within the next 30 days. A default may have little immediate impact on the economy, but a protracted dispute with holdouts could be another factor preventing a quick recovery from the ongoing recession.
