Some of the structural constraints that have held back manufacturing in Brazil over the past decade now appear to have eased. So while we don’t expect an imminent turnaround in the sector, or an Asian-style industrial boom over the medium-term, there are at least reasons to believe that it will play a role in Brazil’s recovery as austerity eases and demand recovers towards the end of this year and into 2016.
