More pain for oil producers, Argentina hardball tactics

The dramatic collapse in oil prices earlier this week will probably deepen Venezuela's shocking humanitarian crisis, and may prompt Ecuador to seek greater debt relief. Meanwhile, the Argentine government's hardball tactics have brought it a step closer to a disorderly default. Finally, policymakers in Brazil and Mexico unveiled some fiscal support measures this week, but these may be too little too late. And in Brazil's case, this is being overshadowed by a growing political crisis.
