Is QQE working?

Almost one year after the launch of Quantitative and Qualitative Easing (QQE) by the Bank of Japan, the policy is working as well as could reasonably be expected. However, despite initial signs of success, we still think that underlying inflation will fall well short of the central bank's target. More policy easing is therefore still likely to be needed over the course of 2015.
