US stock market rally unlikely to last

The S&P 500 closed above 1,300 yesterday for the first time since early June and is now about 4% higher than its level at the beginning of the year. There are plenty of optimists who expect the stock market to go from strength to strength. However, we continue to expect the S&P 500 to drop back to 1,200 by the end of the year for three key reasons.
