The latest data underline that global trade volumes remain very weak, even as worldGDP growth has accelerated. Indeed, the volume of world trade fell slightly in May,according to data released today by the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economics PolicyAnalysis. Export volumes from the euro-zone and Japan were particularly weak, whilstthe recovery in exports from emerging economies varied greatly between regions.
