PMIs: Virus hits services; further signs of shortages easing

The Flash PMIs for December suggests that activity is slowing across advanced economies, as new virus waves and the emergence of the Omicron variant have already started to weigh on activity in the services sector. On the other hand, the PMIs also pointed to the first meaningful easing of manufacturing supply shortages in 18 months and suggests that price pressures have begun to weaken.
