To date, only a few major economies have been afflicted by large scale falls in house prices. But all that will change in 2009. Housing is significantly overvalued across much of Europe, as well as in Australia and Canada. Our analysis suggests that there are at least eight economies where house price falls could ultimately match, or exceed, the peak to trough falls of roughly 25% we currently expect in the US.
