February’s unexpected rise in euro-zone industrial production might raise hopes that the strength of industrial occupier demand in the single currency region has improved. But we are not convinced. The narrower measure of manufacturing production revealed a monthly contraction, suggesting that occupier demand weakened in February. Moreover, with no improvement in the overall euro-zone economic outlook, further falls in industrial rents look likely across the region.
