March’s fall in service sector sentiment in France suggests that 2009Q4’s sharp rise in take-up is unlikely to be repeated in 2010Q1. Moreover, with underlying demand also still relatively weak, even if sentiment improves markedly in the near-term, office take-up is unlikely to reach levels seen prior to the downturn in the foreseeable future.
