We think that the safe-haven status of Switzerland’s commercial property market has allowed Swiss all-property yields to fall to very low levels. But now they look stretched and vulnerable to a deterioration in the economic outlook. Hence, if we are right that the Swiss economy will cool this year and contract in 2013, all-property yields are more likely to rise than fall from here.
