The recent flow of bad news on the German economy might suggest that the office market is beginning to look expensive. Yet, office/bond yield spreads are nearly as high now as they were at their peak and, although lacklustre, the economic outlook in Germany remains brighter than in much of the euro-zone. Thus, we think that there is little risk of a near-term rise in German office yields.
