Recent data suggest that the Turkish economy is in good health, and beginning to show signs of a welcome rebalancing. However, as a consequence, retail sales are starting to suffer from measures to reduce credit growth. Such a slowdown will increase the chances that, after double digit gains in the past year, Turkish retail rents are now likely to experience a period of consolidation.
