Energy prices have generally risen over the past few months, despite an appreciating dollar. Strong demand and, in the case of oil, fears about disruptions to supply have boosted prices. However, we suspect that prices will fall back in many cases as global economic growth slows, consumers continue to move away from polluting fuels and higher prices in the first half of the year incentivise additional production.
