A rebound in net imports drove crude stocks higher last week. Admittedly, imports are volatile so this could be reversed this week. But US oil production also resumed its upward trend and demand for gasoline eased back. We expect oil prices to fall further this year as it becomes more apparent that surging oil supply from the US will overwhelm growth in demand and tip the market back into surplus.
