Oil collapse, containment in CEE, new forecasts

The outlook for Emerging Europe has taken a considerable turn for the worse in the past week and we have revised down our GDP growth forecasts across the region. Our 2020 forecasts are now 1-2%-pts lower than they were prior to the outbreak of the coronavirus. Policy stimulus is on the way. With the exception of Russia, interest rate cuts are likely across much of the region in the next few weeks.
