We are among the most bearish forecasters on the near-term prospects for Emerging Europe and expect the region to underperform the rest of the emerging world over the next couple of years. But looking further ahead the outlook is much brighter. Indeed, over a 10-20 year horizon, we think Emerging Europe will outperform a number of regions that are currently growing much faster – notably Latin America and the Middle East.
