The stronger-than-expected Russian 2018 GDP growth figure of 2.3% suggests that Rosstat has made significant upwards revisions to the quarterly growth figures for the first half of last year. Based on this, it appears that growth has already peaked and, as things stand, we expect that it will average 2% over 2019 and 1.3% in 2020.
