Today’s GDP data showed that Singapore's economy barely expanded in Q1. Recovering global demand should, nevertheless, ensure solid growth over the rest of 2014. As such, the MAS saw no reason to change its policy stance at its meeting today, and is unlikely to alter course when it next meets in October.
