Bank Indonesia cuts rates, further easing likely to be gradual

Today’s decision by Bank Indonesia (BI) to loosen monetary policy demonstrates that the central bank’s focus is clearly on supporting the economy. Although BI signalled that the rate cutting cycle is not yet over, with the US Fed likely to raise rates fairly soon, further easing is likely to be gradual.
