Will the western provinces outperform in 2013?

Canada's western provinces, which have outperformed most other provinces over the past two years, are likely to remain on top in 2013. High oil and other commodity prices should continue to benefit these provinces, although better US growth should help central provinces somewhat more than others. That said, some provincial economies, such as British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec, are perhaps more vulnerable to the downside risks from a housing market correction.
