The Bank of Canada and, to a lesser extent, the International Monetary Fund still remain overly optimistic about Canada's economic growth outlook. The IMF has acknowledged, however, that the negative risks around its latest forecast outweigh the positive, which suggests that it is doubtful about whether or not Canada's economy will be able to grow by even 1.5% this year.
