The discouraging decline in December's manufacturing sales volumes and downward revision to the previous month dampens our view that the improving outlook overseas may finally be filtering through to Canada. Still, given the strength in other sectors, we still think that the economy grew by close to 3.0% annualised in the final quarter of last year.
