Labour Force Survey (Jun.)

Headline employment increased by a stronger than expected 45,300 in June, compared to the consensus estimate of a 10,000 gain, but wage cost pressures remain subdued. Accordingly, there’s nothing in the jobs report that suggests the Bank of Canada should be concerned about core inflation picking up anytime soon.
