Labour Force Survey (Jul.)

Although employment rose by a moderate 10,900 in July, the much larger gain in full-time jobs and drop in the unemployment rate to 6.3%, from 6.5%, are encouraging and point to stronger wage growth. The Bank of Canada will continue to take encouragement from the continued good news on the labour market.
