January's 0.2% m/m rebound in monthly GDP, which reversed a similar-sized contraction in the final month of last year, still leaves the economy struggling to advance at a rate anywhere close to the economy's potential. With underlying inflation likely to remain subdued as a result, we still think that the Bank of Canada will soon drop its tightening bias completely.
