Canada's weaker than expected GDP data for July suggest that third-quarter GDP growth might turn out to be slightly weaker than our below-consensus forecast of 2.4% annualised, following the weather-related bounce-back of 3.1% in the second. This supports our view that the Bank of Canada won't be raising rates anytime soon.
