The sizeable pick-up in employment growth in recent months presents an upside risk to our forecast that consumption growth will slow notably this year. But in light of the other headwinds restraining household income, we doubt it will prevent the annual growth rate of consumption from slowing from 2.6% currently to around 2.0% next year.
