The recent stagnation in employment is probably just payback from the unjustified strength late last year rather than a sign that fears over the global economy have prompted businesses to postpone hiring. When taken together with the fall back in the unemployment rate, to 5.8% from 6.0%, it won’t concern the RBA too much.
