Higher mortgage rates led to another fall in existing home sales in July, which are now down by 26% from their peak in January. We expect a further fall of close to 5% by end-2022 to 4.6m annualised. From there, improvements to affordability will help sales recover to around 5.1m annualised by end-2024.
