Lending to commercial property (Mar.)

The sharp rise in net lending figures in March was probably due to banks permitting payment holidays rather than a significant boost in new loans to investors. Given that these are likely to be temporary measures and we expect transaction activity will see a harsh decline in Q2, we expect net lending to property to ease in the coming months.
