At 3.7% m/m in January, the rise in new home sales came in slightly below expectations. Very wet weather in the West seems partly to blame. The good news is that with inventory levels improving, builders’ confidence high and earnings growth set to accelerate over the next year or so, new home sales should rise at a robust pace.
