Is the second wave coming?

A month after the first states began to re-open their economies there is both good and bad news. The good news is that, up to now at least, there is no evidence that re-opening has led to a much-feared second wave of infections. The bad news is that, rather than continuing to decline, the number of daily new infections has flattened out in those states. That suggests physical distancing measures may need to remain in place for an extended period.
