RICS Lettings Survey (Jul.)

With the continued rationing of credit keeping many would-be buyers in rented accommodation and the supply of rental properties declining as accidental landlords sell up, at first glance the outlook seems positive for rents. But weak economic prospects and signs of renewed falls in house prices mean that we continue to expect rents to mark time this year and post only a small rise in 2011.
