London’s economy has not escaped the national slowdown, and high house prices are also weighing on demand. There have been tentative signs of renewed price growth in central London, but it is too soon to call an inflexion point in the market. Indeed, with mortgage borrowers already so stretched and house price expectations slipping, we expect house prices to mark time over the next few years.
