The combined value of deals completed for UK commercial property in August surged by £1.5bn, or by 44% compared to the previous month. But, that improvement was driven almost entirely by a single deal and this year’s total was around 15% lower than August 2017. So it is too soon to conclude that the UK property investment market has had a new lease of life.
