Today’s PMI showed that the pace of the recovery in construction activity
moderated in June. In essence, resilience in the civil engineering and commercial
property sectors was enough to offset a decline in house-building. However, we
suspect that a sluggish economy and low credit availability will limit the scope for
further gains in commercial property development pipelines.
