The minutes of the Riksbank’s April meeting illustrate the extent to which the housing market has forced its way on to policymakers’ radar screens. The Bank is clearly of the view that the financial regulator and government are better placed to deal with rising house prices, although if momentum does not abate soon, monetary policymakers may yet have to look closer to home. Next week will be very quiet on the data front. The focus of the footballing world will be on Sweden on Saturday when Gothenburg will host the Women’s Champion League Final.
