Despite somewhat more encouraging economic data releases, industrial metals prices struggled to find direction in November mainly owing to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding US-China trade negotiations. We think most base metal prices will rise next year on the back of a gradual pick-up in global economic growth at a time of subdued growth in supply. This backdrop is not so positive for the prices of gold and silver, which we expect to slip back.
