What to watch for in upcoming elections

Latin America’s economic recovery is strengthening but a series of elections over the coming months has added some uncertainty to the outlook. The immediate focus will be on upcoming votes in Argentina and Chile. Our central scenario remains that market-friendly parties will prevail but, if we’re wrong, fiscal concerns will build in both countries, with the stakes especially high in Argentina.
