Our Argentina Activity Indicator (AAI) suggests that conditions in the economy have stabilised following sharp falls in output last year, but the best we can say is that GDP is stagnating – there is no sign yet of a return to growth. And while we wouldn’t rule this out before October’s general election, the next president faces a long list of challenges if it is to return Argentina to a more sustainable growth path.
