Mexico & Chile Consumer Prices (Nov.)

November’s inflation data from Mexico, which showed a second consecutive monthly rise in the headline rate, has strengthened the case for further monetary tightening. We now expect policymakers to raise interest rates by 25bp (to 7.25%) at Alejandro Díaz de León’s first meeting as Central Bank Governor next week.
