Profits of doom

The growth rate of US domestic corporate profits has outstripped the growth rate of the US economy significantly since the end of the Great Recession. However, corporate profits are now coming under pressure. This is another reason to be cautious on the outlook for the US stock market. We continue to expect the S&P 500 to end the year around the 1,200 mark.
