Does competitiveness influence EM stock market performance?

The progress on structural reforms made by many emerging market economies over the past year bodes well for the performance of their stock markets over the long run. And although other factors are likely to exert a greater influence in the short run, there are good reasons to be optimistic about the prospects for EM equities more generally over the next two years.
