Flash Manufacturing PMIs (Feb.)

Flash PMIs published today point to a fairly sharp slowdown in manufacturing growth in advanced economies in February. The flash manufacturing PMIs for the euro-zone, Japan and the US all fell. As a result, a weighted average of the three dropped from 52.4 in January to 50.9. On past form, this would be consistent with GDP growth in advanced economies slowing to only around 1%.
