Euro-zone probably slowed to a crawl in Q2

This week has seen more evidence that the euro-zone economy has lost momentum and that inflation remains a long way below target. Meanwhile, we have brought forward our forecast for the ECB to announce more QE to October this year. The deadlock over Europe’s top jobs is likely to drag on this weekend, and next week we think Italy will probably be let off the hook by the European Commission.
