With France and Germany announcing one-month national lockdowns this week, and other countries likely to follow suit, we expect the euro-zone economy to contract in the coming months. Moreover, the restrictions may stay in place for longer than they did in the spring. Next week, we await more news on virus restrictions and expect more downbeat business surveys for Italy and Spain.
