Weak lending to restrain investment market recovery

Today’s bank lending survey from the ECB, suggests that there is little imminent prospect of an end to the tightening in credit availability and lending criteria for euro-zone businesses. For property markets this suggests that a lack of bank finance will continue to act as a brake on the scale and durability of any recovery in investment market activity over the remainder of this year.
